You can contact us.

We read all correspondence. We may respond. In all cases, we will document it.

Correspondence can be sent to hatematters@proton.me.

If you are a journalist

We are available. Duncan is willing to describe himself as a leading expert on most topics at short notice and is comfortable with both print and broadcast formats. He has not yet been asked back to the one podcast he appeared on that was not our own podcast, but he considers this a scheduling matter.

If you represent a funding body

We have a separate intake process for representatives of American family foundations, conservative legal-policy thinktanks, faith-based grant-makers, or established authors with resources and time. The process consists of the same form as above. We have streamlined it for your convenience.

If you are writing to ask us to stop

We have received three such letters. We have added the senders to the register. We have not stopped.

We are aware that organisations working in areas adjacent to ours have responded to criticism and dissent through the legal system — through defamation claims, harassment injunctions, subject access requests, and other mechanisms that are, we understand, quite effective. We have not done any of these things. We have written letters. We are aware of the difference.

If you are writing to inform us that you intend to take legal action against Hate Matters: we have noted this in advance. We have added the anticipated entry to the register. Duncan is reviewing his copy of Halsbury's Laws (2009 edition, car boot sale, some water damage to volume 3). We will be in touch.

Legal and takedown requests

Please see our legal page first. If you believe a specific page references a real person or organisation in a way that could not reasonably be read as parody, write to the address above and the matter will be considered promptly.
